Rich & Shiela Ferrel – Mesick Mushroom Festival
This award recognizes an individual who has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND in their effort to support the mission of the Cadillac Area Festivals & Events through continuous involvement and leadership with area Festivals & Events. This award winner joins the ranks of Derek Anderson (2015), Sharon Flewelling (2016), Shawn Dostal (2017) and Mark Featherston (2018).
Rich and Shiela, who are not able to be here tonight, have devoted thousands of hours of their time and creativity, as well as leading the connection between the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau and the Mesick Mushroom Festival for the past 3 years, ensuring the Bureau has event brochures and working collaboratively to promote the event to downstate visitors, and the sale of their festival Mushrooming Kits. Words to describe them are thoughtful, energetic, engaging and humble. The event in its 60th year this year, is a true celebration of our area public lands and the savory Morel Mushroom.
