Museum of Moses @ Vogel Store
My brother, Kevin Moses, died August 8, 2010 of head and neck cancer, just 11 days after his 55th birthday. He was an avid collector of everything Harley and knew more about Harley-Davidson's than Willie G. himself!
Kevin left behind a large collection of bikes and memorabilia. Next to Vogel Store, the mom and pop country store I have owned since 1995, we have built the Museum of Moses, a Memorial Tribute to Kevin. My parents, Stu & Joan Moses, of Mt. Pleasant, decided to build the museum here to fulfill Kevin's dream. All the work was hired locally, and some things were donated by people Kevin never knew.
Housed in the museum we currently have nine Harleys dating from 1936 to 1988, a 1939 Goulding Rocket Sidecar, an original 1956 Cadillac, a 1921 Southbend Malleable wood cook stove, a dresser and chair from the Indian School in Mt. Pleasant, which was open from 1895 to 1934. There's vintage Harley memorabilia, family heirlooms dating to the 1890's, and so much more we'd like to share with you. We have quite a story to tell and gladly give guided tours anytime.
