Fall color is bursting in the Greater Cadillac Area, with most all types of leaves changing daily, warmer days and evenings this week will slow down the color change to allow for travelers to make their plans the next two weekends to experience the full array of yellow, gold, purple, red and oranges that cascade across the Huron-Manistee National Forest.
Rolling hills of Route 2 around Caberfae Peaks along M-55 and into Harrietta by the MDNR Fish Hatchery are popping with color. Small bursts can be seen along the fairways of area courses such as Lakewood on the Green Golf Course. And the west end of Lake Cadillac (feeder marsh) by Burke’s Waterfront Restaurant are showing a multitude of contrast colors from an array of tree species along M-115.
Book your rooms now before they are sold out for the next couple of weekends to do your fall color route review and take in the best color south of the Mackinaw Bridge!
