The Cadillac area during the Fourth of July weekend is a blast! You can enjoy the vibrant parades downtown, explore our beautiful lakes with boat rides and fishing, while ending your day with a spectacular fireworks show over the water. The local festivities, including live music and delicious food vendors, make it a perfect celebration for everyone!

Cadillac Freedom Fest Highlights

July 4

  • Grand Parade: Celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade down Mitchell Street at 1 pm. Catch some candy and enjoy the festivities!
  • Kids Pizza & Dance Party: Join us at the Splash Pad from 5 to 7 pm for pizza, dancing, and water fun. Don’t forget your swimsuit!
  • Drone Show + Music: Don’t miss the spectacular drone show with music, lighting up the sky over the baseball fields at dusk to celebrate Cadillac’s Freedom Fest!

July 5

  • Freedom 5K: Lace up your running shoes for a 5K race at 8:30 am on Lake Street.
  • Cadillac Farmers Market & Makers Market: Explore artisan products, farm goods, and more at the Cadillac Commons from 9 am to 6 pm.
  • Kid & Pet Parade: Come on down to the Shay Locomotive in City Park at 6 pm to see some festive pets and children in the parade!  
  • Fireworks + Music: Conclude the Cadillac Freedom Fest with a grand fireworks display over Lake Mitchell at dusk, accompanied by music.

July 2

  • Battle of the Bands: Enjoy an afternoon of music from 1 to 9 PM at the City Park Stage, where up-and-coming artists will compete in a thrilling Battle of the Bands

July 3

  • Pickleball & Cornhole Tournament: Show off your skills in our Pickleball and Cornhole Tournaments, both starting at 9 AM.
  • Merritt Speedway: Got a need for speed? Check out Merritt Speedway at 3 pm for some racing!
  • Volleyball Tournament: Join the fun at the Volleyball Tournament in Missaukee County Park, with games beginning at 4 PM.

July 4

  • Athletic Boosters 5K Race: Get your racing shoes reading and meet in Downtown City Park. 2K, 5K, or 10K options available. Registration begins at 6 am. 
  • Senior Center Strawberry Festival: Looking for a fresh fruit to enjoy? Check out the Strawberry Festival happening from 11 am to 3 pm. on 120 E John Street (Across from the Post Ofice) for a delicious treat! 

July 5

  • Kids Parade: Dress your little ones in their best patriotic outfits for the Kids Parade, starting at Lake City High School at 9:30 AM.
  • Raffle Drawing: Get your tickets ready for a chance to win fantastic prizes at the Raffle Drawing in City Park at 10 PM.
  • Fireworks: Conclude the celebrations with a breathtaking fireworks finale over Lake Missaukee. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show
