EXPLORING SPRING

Spring in Cadillac invites you to explore a trail, cast a line, or take to the links. Beginning in March, Cadillac outdoor recreation morphs into a new land of opportunity, beckoning Jeepers to get some mud on the tires, shroomers to take to the quiet refuge of the forest to seek their precious treasures, and the temperature reaches the 50s, marking the beginning golf season officially open, welcoming golfers who have patiently endured the winter months to get back to the greens.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

Late March, as winter recedes and the days get longer, mud season begins and beckons Jeepers to head off-road. Avid river goers pile into the local liveries to get the season’s first river bank mud on their shoes, officially kicking off the canoeing and kayaking season on the Manistee, Pine River and Pere Marquette, while anglers cast for coveted Steelhead, Trout and Salmon.

Shroomers head to the forests to find the precious Morel Mushrooms and celebrate at the Mushroom Festivals and other spring events in the area. Bicyclists and Motorcyclists shed their winter layers to take in the fresh air and take and budding of spring on over 200 miles of trails and scenic roadways in the area.
