UPDATED 12/29/25:
You can pretty much guess what the rain/ice storm did to the trails. Fortunately, we got a groom and weighted drag in prior and we never went back to bare ground, but conditions are not ideal. We are waiting to get every last bit of snow from this system before attempting again, likely Wednesday. There is also likely a lot of trail debris out there from falling limbs. Please help us out with removal if you brave breaking trail before that. It will help the grooming effort out substantially to be able to not get in and out so much. Stay tuned!
Report any downed trees by filling out the form on our website. Learn more about the MacKenzie Trail here.

For the most part things are looking good. Some honeycombing from thaws and refreezes. Biggest area of concern is the pressure crack at small cove where the lake ice is diving under the ice in the cove. Everybody stay safe and have a Merry Christmas! Learn more at Pilgrim Village Fishing Shop.

TRAIL BASE:

CONDITIONS: Fair- Good
Downed trees/limbs and possible water spots will be a struggle initially on the trails, but I expect groomer drivers and volunteers alike to clear the trails as soon as we can. Ride with extreme caution, as I know there are many obstacles in our trail system. Expect icy conditions under this new snow. Hopefully groomers will be getting out in the next 24 hours.
