This week's food review. Burke's waterfront restaurant in Cadillac, MI. Upon entering a friendly hostess greeted us immediately and promptly led us to a beautiful window seat overlooking their patio and a small lake. We arrived just before lunch and was given a breakfast menu which was fine because that's what we were interested in but as the lunch items started going past our table we definitely want to give the lunch and dinner items a try because they looked super delicious and if what we received for breakfast is representation of the rest of the menu I'm sure they're fantastic. Crystal selected the, Cajun shrimp Eggs Benedict and they came with hash browns. $14.99 I selected their breakfast special, Country fried steak and eggs which also came with hash browns. $13.99 The Hollandaise was rich and creamy with the perfect hint of lemon to go with the lightly battered, well seasoned and fried to perfection shrimp and the English muffin was perfectly toasted and you couldn't ask for more finely poached egg. Country fried steak has always been one of my favorites and I'll tell you this was the best I've ever had. It was tender and it was so juicy, something I've never experienced with this dish unless I prepared it myself. My over easy eggs were prepared perfectly and we both agreed you couldn't have gotten the hash browns any better, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Our server was excellent and attentive. The portion to price was very reasonable and with our overall dining experience we give this place at 5/5 Star and can't wait to go back and work our way through the other menu items. Bon appetite.

Nice little spot to stop on a roadtrip especially if you can sit outside. Fried pickles were good. We tried the walleye fish and mashed potatoes which were underwhelming but the prime rib Philly wrap was very good. And the seating on the lake is a huge plus, especially on a breezy day.

Food was okay nothing special, but the water and ice were terrible in taste and smell (sulfur) outside seating was fantastic with a nice breeze. Price was a bit on the high side for what you get. Service was just okay.

The patio was a lovely spot for a meal, with sunny or shaded sitting area. The BLT was good. Service was lagging that day, but not from lack of effort - lots of customers, not a lot of staff. Everyone was efficient and friendly. Spent about $17 (before tax and 3% credit card fee) for the BLT and a pop.
