Brandon SimmonsNice place for a quick visit - right across the canal from Mitchell State Park. There’s two options, the indoor display area or the hiking trail. The indoor area has quite nice displays which are very educational but adults will enjoy too. If you do the trail, be aware it’s through the middle of a protected marsh land, and you WILL be bothered by black flies and mosquitoes. Even if you walk fast or run. Bring the Deet.

Elundra VealThere is a lot to see, learn and hike. There is an educational center. Plenty to learn about Michigan wildlife. Very family friendly. Enjoy a 2 mile (3.2 kilometers)hike in Wm. Mitchell State park, Map provided. Due to restrictions of social distancing the archery and pellet gun range is closed. Plenty of camp grounds across the canal.

Maria RoscoeThis was a fun place to stop and learn about native fish, birds and animals of Michigan! Lots of fun things to see and learn. Also they have weekly events if you’re in the area for longer! Also the gift shop was stocked well with lots of books and stuffies all at reasonable prices! And there was a friendly dog there named Ranger who greeted us!
