After a long working weekend in Traverse City, we headed home, but needed to stop and grab something to eat. We found Clam Lake Beer Co. in downtown Cadillac, MI. For a Sunday night, it was surprisingly full, but we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our server was very nice and attentive. There were couples and families in the long seating area, and there is another, smaller, more private seating area in the back with a large bank of windows. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp, which was tasty, but not as "bangy" as we would have liked. I had the seared ahi appetizer which was perfectly seared and sesame encrusted. I had a side of mixed veggies are so pleasantly surprised! They were roasted and was a mix of baby carrots, parsnips, wax beans, broccoli, and string beans! My husband had the rodeo burger and it was juicy and hearty. We were welcomed in, treated like we were regulars, and fed well.

Just fabulous and so worth coming into downtown! Great atmosphere. Knowledgeable and professional wait staff. Cool wood fired pizza selection. Good cocktails. Actually the BEST restaurant/bar of our two week trip up north!!

We had a wonderful visit here! Our server, Robin, made the evening so much more enjoyable! The two of us shared the Bang Bang Shrimp and the French Dip Sandwich. The shrimp was wonderfully breaded on a bed of cabbage mix. I asked for the bang bang sauce on the side and it was extemely tasty. We split the French dip, and Robin brought it on two plates, expertly plated. But the taste was the star of the show!! My wife, an amazing cook herself, proclaimed it the best French dip she had ever had!! It was melt in your mouth great!! The ciabatta was soft but hearty enough to stand up to the au jus. Altogether a fantastic visit!! The next night we got back to the hotel late, so we just ordered a pizza to pick up. Equally great, but just missing the atmoshere and Robin!

Arrived on a Saturday at 2:30pm. There was a 35 minute wait but not horrible. It’s a good sign if there is a wait when it’s not lunch or dinner. Was told it was a 35 minute wait and at exactly the 35 minute mark we got a text saying our table was ready. Great selection of craft beer if you are into that. Got a few different styles of beer. The beer was good. Had to get the pizza, chicken shawarma and the shrimp tacos. The food was good but nothing that wowed me. Pizza sauce was very sweet. Chicken shawarma was just ok. The garlic needs to be stronger and there needs to be more pickles. The shrimp tacos were good but very small so if you are hungry I’d get something else. The service was really good and sometimes that weighs more than the rating of the food. I would definitely go back so if you’re in the area I would definitely go check this place out.

We stopped for lunch at Clam Lake Beer Company and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The menu offered a wide range of tempting options, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. At our table, we enjoyed the crispy, golden-battered Perch and Chips, the sweet-and-spicy Korean Chicken, a Southwest Cobb Salad loaded with fresh ingredients, and a flavorful Buffalo Chicken Wrap with just the right amount of heat. Every dish was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor, leaving us all talking about how good the food was. As much as we loved the meal, the service might have been even better. Savannah was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience feel warm and inviting. Without a doubt, Clam Lake Beer Company is a spot we’d happily return!
