We love this campground. Sadly, spring flooding had damaged a good portion of the campground, and hiking trails were still too wet and muddy. The fishing pier was damaged and unusable also. The rangers are super friendly, and they'll have it back in shape in no time. The newest bathhouse and showers are beautiful!

Just came for the shower while traveling through and it was a blessing to find it only $5.00. Showers/Restroom was nice and clean. Great atmosphere and vibe for the dog as well.

Quite park, even when the weekender came in, respectful kids running around the park being polite campers. The kids at Grand haven state park could take some lessons. Park was clean with helpful staff. We will definitely be back.

Clean campgrounds & shower/bathrooms. Campsites are mostly level, electric at every site, and range from full sun to full shade. No water at sites- as are most Michigan state parks, so plan accordingly or, you may have to wait to fill up when you arrive. Due to the recent flooding, a few boat launches in the area were not yet in. However, several boats came through the channel. Many shoreline and boat fishermen had success catching bluegill and bass. Playgrounds, beach, and boat/kayak rental are available at the campgrounds. Entire campground is dog friendly w/lots of surrounding bike/walking trails. Campground hosts on-site were pleasant & helpful. Don't be afraid to inquire about activities and camp amenities..... they're a wealth of information. All DNR employees we had interaction with were helpful & friendly. Highly recommend this park for families, boating, biking, dogs, and walkers.

If you like shore fishing and an excellent campground and facilities. Then this is your place, I am pretty sure this is my new favorite campground. I will definitely return in the future.
