Coming back from up north, we had to stop and get a Michigan staple, pasties. Mr. Foise's was recommended to us. The store is a cute and quaint facade. We walked in and the aroma of pasties was intoxicating. We were going to get frozen ones because we were traveling home and were going to bake them for dinner. I got beef with gravy to go. Let me tell you, these flavorful pies were not only delicious but were filling for a meal. I was glad I got extras, when other members of ny family heard I had gotten some, they came right over to get one. The menu is simple beef, chicken or veggie pasties. They had fresh baked pie that day too. Due to fruit allergies I had to pass, but they looked amazing. When going through Cadillac, stop and get the real deal at Mr. Foisie's.

These are the best pasties I've ever had. Granted, I've only had them from 1 or 2 other places in Michigan, but these are excellent. Gravy is good, too. We visited twice in one week while visiting the area. The front counter staff the first time was very friendly and helpful. The second time the person was a little less helpful, but overall everything was very good.
