Rooms are spacious and always clean. Check-in is friendly and a breeze. Place is showing its age in certain areas, a bit of that Up North charm. I use this place as a stopover when on cycling tours up north. The sauna and hot tub are a nice place to unwind. Breakfast buffet needs a major overhaul. The hot foods were not hot at all, potentially unsafe to eat at those holding temperatures. A very small spread they put out compared to years past. They have moved to a typical self-serve model, no more waitresses in the AM.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. I booked it for three reasons: - I had to be in Luther, MI over the weekend. - There are no hotels near Luther, MI. - I wanted to be adventurous and try something other than a chain hotel. When I viewed room prices, I was honestly surprised they would be so low over a holiday weekend (we stayed the evening of July 4th). When we arrived, the vibe was "camping plus." The lobby was much like a lodge, and the hallways had a faint bowling-alley scent (not unpleasant, but perhaps a relic of the '70s, when smoke filled the halls and years of scrubbing and vacuuming have only done so much). Our room was actually SUPER quaint, cozy, and I guess exactly what I should have expected. Clean, comfortable (A/C on the wall was FANTASTIC for the size of the room), and cool. The beds were medium-firmness (a style I don't often see in hotels) which actually works WAY better for me than soft mattresses (I need lumbar support). Microwave, mini-fridge, TV with cable, everything you would expect. Went swimming in the pool with my kids, and it was great! Lots of wood in the structure gave it a woodsy vibe, and the pool had an actual deep end for my son (9 ft). After swimming, we got dinner from the hotel bar. My grilled chicken dinner with mashed potatoes was fantastic - seasoned well, cooked perfectly. My son got a pizza (also great) and my wife got a Caesar wrap (also great). Honestly, I don't have much business out that way - but I will definitely look at heading back there for future vacations!

This is a great place to stay for cheap. They have a large pool, a hot tub, and a sauna, which were all very relaxing after a busy ski day. The staff were polite and helpful and the breakfast was good. A lot of reviews say the beds are comfy and they definitely are! You get what you pay for and nothing less.

Very frustrating that we had to get multiple key cards to be able to access our room. It is midnight and we just came in from a wedding and were unable to access our room again, thankfully the front desk staff was understanding and helpful. I feel for them for being understaffed, but early check in was also not available this time around.

It’s old and outdated. I got ants in a room. However, the staffs are quick and responsible, and the breakfast was great and simple. Especially, the view from a room to a golf course was wonderful.
