The Dewings Center
Nestled in the heart of LeRoy, Michigan, the Dewings Center is the only Arts & Culture Center in Osceola County, dedicated to promoting a supportive and connected community. Their mission is to offer accessible and affordable programs in arts and culture that address relevant community needs, particularly for the underserved. They work for a unified and vibrant community where arts, cultural, and community programs enrich, inspire, empower, and unite diverse voices.
Operated entirely by volunteers from the greater LeRoy area, their team is dedicated to maintaining and preserving the historic building while delivering high-caliber programs and events. They welcome individuals from all backgrounds and reject the misuse of art and culture for negative purposes. Instead, they invite everyone to experience the arts, discover new cultures, and find a sense of belonging and connection at the Dewings Center.

Sourdough Baking
August 31, 2:00 PM
Join Joanna Sneed from Full Plate Homestead for a hands-on class in sourdough baking. Learn everything you need to start baking your own sourdough bread, with a starter and beginner’s guide included.
Seats are limited, so be sure to RSVP by emailing contact@dewingscenter.org or calling 231-768-3519. The class is $10 per person or team of two.
Cadillac Area Symphony Orchestra Ensemble
September 21, 6:00 PM
Enjoy an evening of wonderful music by the Cadillac Symphony Area Orchestra, who have been delighting audiences since 1974. A suggested donation of $5 at the door supports the center’s programs and events.
Northern Lights Irish Dance Academy
October 12, 3:00 PM
Witness the traditional Irish dance skills of the Northern Lights Irish Dance Academy, the only school of its kind in Northern Michigan. This “Feisanna” promises high-quality performances. A suggested minimum donation of $5 at the door is appreciated.
Nativity Exhibit and Community Christmas
December 5-7
Kick off the Christmas season with our annual Nativity Exhibit featuring nativities from around the globe, along with lights, hot chocolate, coffee, cookies, and a Children’s Ornament Craft table.
Thursday, Dec 5, 2-4 PM: Nativity Exhibit & Coffee/Treats
Friday, Dec 6, 4-7 PM: Nativity Exhibit & Coffee/Treats, followed by a Ballet Performance at 6 PM
Saturday, Dec 7, 2-4 PM: Nativity Exhibit & Coffee/Treats

Year-Round Offerings
In addition to our scheduled events, Dewings Center offers various classes, rental spaces for private functions (weddings, parties, meetings), and live music performances throughout the year. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we rely on donations and grants from the Osceola Community Foundation (OCCF) and the Michigan Arts and Culture Council (MACC) to continue providing these valuable programs.
