We have had some great warm and sunny weather for fun days on our lakes and rivers! Join me on my next journey as I learn all there is to know about paddle sports in Cadillac!

The Cadillac Area is full of wonderful rivers and lakes, perfect for paddling around and enjoying each season of the year! You can choose your own adventure and customize your paddling experience with either a canoe, raft, kayak, or stand up paddleboard. I’ve been known to wade through the shallow water looking for fish but wanted to give these all a try. I was too shaky on the paddle board, but I think my favorite was the kayak! Lake Missaukee, Lake Mitchell, and Lake Cadillac are great options for deciding where and how you want to paddle. These lakes may get a little wavy from the wind, but you are not restricted to having to travel downstream. IG Photo: @msbaird2

The Big Manistee River is a perfect place for beginners and experts alike. Some segments have tighter directions or sharp turns for the skilled paddlers, but the majority of the Cadillac region is just right for the casual paddler. IG Photo: @theo.the.rad

The Pine River is also a popular attraction for all paddlers and fishermen – all year round! This river features deep channels, high sand banks, and diverse wildlife. Follow the Pine River through the vast National and State Forest. IG Photo: @pineriverpaddlesportscenter

If you don’t have anything to paddle with, local businesses have you covered! There are local liveries to choose from for renting equipment, as well as tours. Pine River Paddlesport Center and Chippewa Landing are great places to start.
